Free Music

January 30, 2009

I’ve talked about this before, and I’ll probably talk about it again after this, and what I’m talking about here is  free music if you know where to find it. Lots of this music comes from net labels, but it might not be easy to find the net label that puts out the music you like. That’s what Phlow Magazine is for. Phlow categorizes net labels and reviews releases from the labels so you’ll know what the music is like before you download it.  In addition to Phow there is also Free Albums Galore, We7, Pandora, Last FM, and Jamendo. Once you’ve discovered some great bands through these sites you can go to the site of their label or to their own individual sites. There’s some awesome bands out there that are putting out fantastic music for free like New Delhi FM, Professor Cliq, Latex Distortion, and of course Atomsplit is on Jamendo too. So the next time you want to get some new music hop on the computer and see what’s out there on the interpipes  you might find some awesome bands you’ve never heard before like I have.
