The Rawest

May 6, 2008

Raw was pretty awesome this week. I was pleasantly surprised. I really am digging how they made Ken Kennedy and Triple H faces (Good Guys) and had them face off against the entire ECW roster. The Shawn Michael’s and Jericho match was pretty good, but the best part was that my man the Hot Rod, Rowdy Roddy Piper was back in action after being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year by none other than The Nature Boy Ric Flair himself. Hot Rod’s supposed to be in a movie I’ve been waiting to see for like two years too called Sin Jyn Smith. It’s coming and it’s going to be awesome. After seeing Piper though I’ve been thinking lately that there are now a lot of next generation wrestlers on the scene in WWE. There’s Carlito, Randy Orton, DH Smith The British Bulldog’s son, and Cody Rhodes who is obviously The American Dream Dusty Rhodes’ son, and Dusty Rhodes has a son in TNA, Dustin Rhodes AKA Dustin Runnels AKA Gold Dust (Awesome) AKA Black Reign (Lame). That’s just some of the next generation wrestlers. There’s tons more out there. So, there’s a lot of next generation wrestlers in the squared circle these days which makes me think I’ve been watching wrestling a heck of a long time. If you ever want to jump on board fresh into wrestling the best time to do it is after a Pay Per View because after a Pay Per View everything changes. It’s like a reset button for the next month.  You can go up to five full years without watching wrestling and not have too much change except for belt switches. But don’t wait too much longer than five years or else you won’t see any of the people you remember. You’ll be seeing their children!
