I love how Mars zooms into the foreground! If you don’t know who Edgar Rice Burroughs is he’s a pulp writer best known for Tarzan, but he also wrote a lot of other stuff like science fiction and fantasy. The kind of things you’d find in a Weird Tales pulp magazine along with stories from the likes of Robert E. Howard and H.P. Lovecraft.
